Stay alert to suspicious phone calls and scams
Repairs to your home are important, and we want to ensure you receive the right support.
With this in mind, please be cautious of claims management companies, as well as the rise in phone call scams circulating at present.
You may have seen adverts on social media, radio, or even received calls or emails directly. These companies target tenants, particularly those in council housing, encouraging them to make a claim for disrepair against their landlord.
While the sales pitch may sound tempting, pursuing claims through these companies can come with many downsides including:
- hidden costs,
- fees if you change your mind, and
- a time-consuming and stressful processes
Your information, including details of any repairs, home alterations, and your repair history, may be shared with solicitors handling your case - often at a cost to you.
Stay alert, be vigilant and help others
