Tenant Service Charges
Tenant service charges are payable if you live in a flat block or sheltered housing.
As well as your basic rent, we also charge separately for certain services; these are called tenant service charges.
Tenant service charges are reviewed every year and are included in your formal notice of rent changes letter, which is sent four weeks before any changes come into effect.
Service charges pay for:
- Caretaking and cleaning
- Communal block repairs
- Communal block electrics
- Water charges
- Grounds maintenance
- Window cleaning
- Estate service charge
- Heating charge
- Equipment usage charge
- Pest control
- Management fee
These charges may vary from block to block depending on the amount of work.
