Residential Parking

We have no powers to restrict the number of vehicles that residents own, nor where people park on the public highway where there are no restrictions in place.

We do have powers to introduce restrictions such as waiting restrictions (double yellow lines), limited waiting restrictions (single yellow lines), or verge and footway parking prohibition. 

We have, in the past, built many parking bays in residential streets across the town. However, declining budgets and changing Transport Policy means that it is rare for the construction of new parking bays to be authorised
