How it works

Car parks run by the council use automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras to control the barriers at the entry and exit of each car park.

Season tickets are not a physical ticket but are actually a monthly subscription that allows customers to enter and exit freely without having to make a payment at the car park.

Season ticket types

The table below lists the four types of season tickets available to the public, how much they cost and details which car parks they grant access to.

Season tickets can be suspended, but for no more than 6 months for £36.

Buying a season ticket

To buy or renew a season ticket, including one for a disabled person, download and complete the application form and Direct Debit form. Send both forms to the Reconciliation Team using the contact details below.

Payment details

• Payments are taken monthly.
• Disabled persons’ season tickets are paid annually.

What you need to provide

When applying, you will need to give:

• your name
• your address
• your vehicle registration number.

Season tickets for the disabled

Annual season tickets are available for disabled people who are resident in Stevenage, and have a 'blue badge' issued by the Social Services Department of Hertfordshire County Council.

Unlike other season ticket types, these are issued and renewed annually on 1 April each year and you will need to provide proof of your blue badge each year at renewal.

Suspension and termination

If you wish to suspend or terminate your car park season ticket, please contact the Reconciliation Team using the contact details below.

Season tickets can be suspended for up to 6 months for an admin fee of £36. Refunds are only available for any full months that have been paid but unused.
