Whether your child is learning to ride or wants to improve their cycling skills, Stevenage Cycling Hub offers a range of sessions throughout the summer holidays. Activities are available for different ages and abilities, with qualified instructors providing a safe and supportive environment to build confidence on two wheels.

Shephalbury Park Tennis
Cost: Paid
Enjoy a game of tennis at the refurbished courts in Shephalbury Park. Courts can be booked on a pay-and-play basis, or you can purchase an Annual Pass for unlimited play throughout the year. Coaching and organised activities are also available for children and adults of all abilities.

Kellogg's Football Camp with Stevenage FC Foundation
Cost: Free (with a valid Kellogg's promotional code)
Very limited spaces left at the end of August.
Children aged 5 to 12 can enjoy a day of football, games and fun activities with qualified coaches at Stevenage FC Sports Hub. Sessions help children develop football skills, stay active and make new friends during the school holidays. Places are limited and must be booked in advance using a valid promotional code. Ask your child's school for a free code.

Hampson Park Skatepark
Cost: Free
Hampson Park Skatepark is open throughout the year and is free to use. The professionally designed skatepark is suitable for skateboards, scooters, BMX bikes, roller skates and inline skates, making it a great place to practise tricks or enjoy time outdoors with friends.
There is free parking and a small café nearby.

Peartree Park Community Event
18 July 2026 | 1pm to 4pm
Cost: Free
Bring the whole family to this free community event at Peartree Park. Activities include skateboard lessons and demonstrations with Driift, cycling taster sessions from Stevenage Cycling Hub, arts and crafts, glitter tattoos, smoothie making and the chance to meet local community groups. Don't forget to bring your skateboard, scooter, BMX or roller skates if you'd like to take part.

Fairlands Valley Splash Park
Cost: Free
Cool off this summer at Fairlands Valley Splash Park. The splash park features a variety of interactive water jets and fountains, making it a great place for younger children to enjoy outdoor water play during warm weather.

Fairlands Aqua Parc
Cost: Paid
Looking for a challenge? Fairlands Aqua Parc features giant inflatable obstacles, climbing walls and slides on the water, offering an exciting day out for older children, teenagers and adults. Advance booking is recommended during the summer holidays.

Fishing at Fairlands Valley Park
Cost: Paid (permit required)
Enjoy a relaxing day by the water at Fairlands Valley Park. The lake is well stocked with a variety of coarse fish and is suitable for experienced anglers and beginners alike. Fishing permits are required before casting a line. You will need both a Rod Licence and a day ticket.
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Herts Summer Parks
Cost: Free
Young people aged 12 to 16 can enjoy free outdoor activities at King George V Playing Fields on 7, 14 and 21 August, from 3pm to 6pm. Sessions include sports, games and fun activities, with a free food voucher available for everyone attending.

HAPpy Camps provide free holiday activities and healthy meals for children and young people who receive benefits-related free school meals. A variety of sports, games and creative activities are available at venues across Stevenage during the summer holidays. Booking is required.

Heart Trails
