Welcome to our Annual Report for 2025-2026

The Housing Annual Report details our performance, achievements and progress from April 2025 to March 2026. It highlights how we have delivered housing services for tenants and leaseholders, responded to resident feedback, and continued to invest in homes, neighbourhoods and communities across Stevenage.

This year, our Tenant Satisfaction Measure for overall satisfaction increased to 68.1%, up from 66.9% the previous year. More residents told us that we are keeping them informed, improving our repairs service and handling anti-social behaviour more effectively. These improvements reflect our commitment to listening to residents and using feedback to drive positive change. Thank you to everyone who took part in surveys, scrutiny reviews, consultation activities, or shared feedback throughout the year. Your views continue to shape our services and help us focus on what matters most to you.

Providing safe, good-quality homes remains our highest priority. We are proud to have achieved 100% compliance with all required gas, fire, asbestos, water and lift safety checks, ensuring residents can feel confident that their homes are safe. We have also strengthened our approach to tackling damp and mould, improving response times, communication and follow-up work to better support residents.

We continue to invest significantly in our housing stock, helping more homes meet modern standards while improving energy efficiency and reducing running costs for residents. During the year, we completed hundreds of major home improvements, including new kitchens, bathrooms, boilers, windows and doors, while maintaining a Decent Homes Standard compliance rate of 98.86%.

Supporting residents to live independently and thrive within their communities remains central to everything we do. Whether through tenancy support, financial advice, independent living services, adaptations to homes, or our work to tackle anti-social behaviour and improve neighbourhoods, we remain committed to helping residents feel safe, supported and valued.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement over the last year. By working together, we are making improvements that matter, strengthening our communities, and ensuring Stevenage remains a place where residents can enjoy safe homes, excellent services and a strong sense of belonging.
