What do Neighbourhood Liaisons Officers do?

Your Neighbourhood Liaison Officers are the eyes and ears of our community.

Neighbourhood walks

The team carries out high-visibility neighbourhood walks every two weeks to help keep communities safe, clean and well maintained.

During the walks, they:

• Report environmental issues such as fly-tipping, litter and dog fouling.
• Report faults and other issues to the appropriate council teams or external partners.
• Talk to residents, listen to their concerns and signpost them to the right council service.
• Resolve issues where possible and provide advice on council services and matters.
• Work closely with ward councillors to support the needs of local communities.
• Attend residents' meetings.
• Support community events, including Stevenage Day and local fetes.
