The Oval Community Association is a registered Charity that runs the Oval Community Centre. The Association employ staff to oversee the day to day running of the Centre.


Built in 1974, The Oval Community Centre is the largest Community Centre in Stevenage and attracts a varied range of users who offer services for all ages.

As well as hiring rooms for private functions such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries, there are also meeting rooms that can be hired.

  • Monday to Thursday 9am to 11pm
  • Friday & Saturdays 9am to 12 midnight
  • Sundays 12:30 pm to 10pm


  • Main hall – 200 people / 130 if fully seated
  • Room 3/4 – up to 25 people / this room has a small kitchenette
  • Room 5 – up to 8 people
  • Room 6 – up to 10 people
  • Coffee bar area – up to 20 people
  • Youth wing – up to 25 people


  • Ample free parking facilities either side of the Centre

Monday to Thursday 9:30am - 2:30pm
Friday 9am - 1pm  

New groups and clubs are welcome, please contact the Centre direct to enquire. There are discounted rates for Registered Charities.
