Stevenage has an incredible amount to offer that makes it unrivalled as a place to invest in. As well as housing and commercial growth opportunities that will deliver 7,600 new homes by 2031, Stevenage hosts a diverse business community with highly-skilled world-renowned companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Airbus Defence & Space and MBDA based in the borough. Autlous are currently completing their £65m European HQ in the town centre, to be near other life science businesses.

Strategically located within Hertfordshire, Stevenage is well connected by road and rail networks. Access to King’s Cross in 19 minutes, Canary Wharf in 38 minutes, and Heathrow in 45 minutes, making it quicker to get into Central London from Stevenage than from some London Boroughs. Stevenage also boasts connections to the North as far as Edinburgh taking just over 4 hours journey time, and local journeys to Cambridge in under 40 minutes.

Due to Stevenage’s proximity to the A1(M), it offers excellent road connections at a regional level to Cambridge (45 minutes), London Heathrow (60 minutes) and Peterborough. Luton is located 15 miles to the west while Central London is 30 miles to the south.

A fifth platform has recently opened at the railway station, allowing increased services into London and the southeast. The new Bus Interchange opened in the Summer of 2022 and our new multi-storey car park will be opening in Spring 2023. With seamless connections throughout the town’s main transport hubs, Stevenage is ideal for those using public transport to arrive in the town.
