This year Hertfordshire’s tree giveaway will take place on Saturday 9 December with 12 collection points spread across the county.

This partnership initiative is made possible by Hertfordshire’s county, district and borough councils, the Hitchin-based charity Growing People and local volunteers. It is further aided by Herts Full Stop which will be providing logistical and operational support.

Over 75,000 trees will be available for residents who requested trees earlier this year. This follows on from the success of the scheme’s first year which resulted in almost 47,000 trees being planted across the county.

All residents who pre-requested trees should now have received an email confirming details of your collection point. If you have not received an email, please check your junk/spam folders before emailing yourtree@hertfordshire.gov.uk to find out where your collection point is.

This year trees will also be available on an alternative collection date for anyone who cannot arrange for their tree to be collected on Saturday 9 December.

If you would like to receive an alert when the tree request window opens again in 2024 you can sign up to the waiting list.
