Tribute to Adrian Hawkins OBE

Tribute to Adrian Hawkins who passed away over the weekend

Cllr Richard Henry, Leader of Stevenage Borough Council said,

“On behalf of Stevenage Borough Council, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Adrian’s family, friends, and colleagues at this very sad time.

Adrian gave a great deal to Stevenage over many years and was always ambitious for our town and its future. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him in shaping and delivering our shared vision to Make Stevenage Even Better. As Chair of the Stevenage Development Board, Adrian brought real energy, enthusiasm, and determination to our regeneration ambitions. Even during periods of ill health, his commitment never wavered and he continued to play an active leadership role at Board meetings and project launches.

His passion for Stevenage and his determination to make a difference will be hugely missed by all of us who had the privilege of working with him.

Our thoughts are with his wife and children at this very difficult time. Rest in peace, Adrian. You will be sorely missed.”
