Stevenage summer of fun: vibrant, busy and more to come!
Stevenage has been buzzing with activity this summer as thousands of residents and visitors have enjoyed a packed programme of free and family-friendly events across the town.
From music and markets to outdoor performances and community celebrations, it’s been a season to remember – and there’s still plenty more to look forward to.
So far, the town has seen a wide range of successful events bringing people together to have fun and make great memories. Highlights have included Stevenage Day – our very own festival held on King George V Playing Fields, celebrating music, Pride, STEM, and a whole host of other activities. Armed Forces Day followed later in June, which also drew crowds to the town centre to show their support and appreciation to those who have dedicated their lives to helping our country. Our popular outdoor cinema screenings, including Moana and the women’s football final will delight children and grown-ups alike, making the most of the summer sunshine.
Councillor Richard Henry, Leader of Stevenage Borough Council, said:
"It’s been fantastic to see so many people out enjoying everything Stevenage has to offer. We’re proud to deliver a calendar of events that brings communities together, supports local businesses, and creates a real sense of pride in our town. With more exciting events still to come, we’re making sure there’s something for everyone this summer and beyond."
