Stevenage Railway Station - Lift out of order

The lift at Stevenage Railway Station is currently out of order. Our lift contractor has identified damage to the car doors, which appears to be the result of an attempted forced entry using a crowbar.

The contractors have removed the doors and fabricators have been working on them. A special linen type metal had to be ordered. We are hopeful that this part of the repairs will be completed by the weekend or beginning of next week. Following this the doors will need to be reinstalled. We thank you again for your patience.

In the meantime, there is signage to direct users to the alternative route via the ramp towards the Gordon Craig Theatre.
