Stevenage boosts reopening of local market with digital trail

Stevenage Borough Council has launched a new digital trail, Love Your Local Market, in partnership with LoyalFree.

The town’s Indoor Market has been trading for 45 years and includes over 40 wonderful stalls. The Love Your Local Market campaign aims to celebrate markets and encourage shoppers to safely return to the town and support businesses as Covid-19 lockdown restrictions are eased. #MyMarket #Lovelocal #shopsafeshopstevenage

LoyalFree is an innovative place promotion app which showcases vital area information for locals and visitors including a local guide, exclusive deals and interesting trails. The free-to-download app, launching in Stevenage this May, is designed to boost footfall and sales in the area by encouraging consumers to safely shop locally. As businesses begin to re-open the app will promote events, offers and digital loyalty schemes around the town and can be enjoyed in over 30 towns and cities across the UK.

Shoppers are encouraged to visit the Indoor Market and explore the digital trail (between 17 – 23 May), available for free on their smartphone. App users can check in at each of the 10 locations on the trail by scanning the QR codes displayed on posters around the market. Scan at all 10 locations to be entered into a prize draw to win £50 indoor market vouchers and two free rides on the children’s play roundabout.

The interactive trail on the LoyalFree app shows the user where the next location is with the handy map and directions features. To take part users log in on the app, head to the trails section - it’s completely free.
