Stay safe in the hot weather
With temperatures expected to rise, it's important to take extra care during periods of hot weather.
To beat the heat, make sure to;
- drink plenty of water,
- wear light-weight clothing, and
- apply sunscreen.
Avoid the sun during the hottest hours (typically between 11am – 3pm) and check in on elderly neighbours or pets.
Do not swim in open water unless it’s part of an organised and supervised open water swimming session.
Enjoy the sunshine, but remember to stay safe. A few simple precautions can help you and those around you make the most of the warmer weather.
Visit the Met Office website for information about the weather warning.
