Stevenage/Survivors Against Domestic Abuse (SADA) has come a long way since its launch 10 years ago.

It provides domestic abuse support services and housing across Hertfordshire and has seen a year on year increase in referrals for both men and women. SADA successfully applied to the Charity Commission for charity status to support the work of the team.

The charity, Friends of SADA, launched at an event on the 6 July. It has three trustees and a patron, who have been working hard to promote the work and services of SADA, collecting and applying for funding to support more survivors and their families.

The charity also has its own football team, SADA FC which was the brainchild of one the trustees. The team won its first game on 17 July and all the proceeds from the event will go to support our SADA families.
