Have your say on Hertfordshire’s new Local Transport Plan

Hertfordshire County Council is consulting on its new Local Transport Plan, which will guide transport improvements across the county up to 2050. The consultation runs from 28 September to 9 November 2026, closing at 11.45pm.

The draft plan covers future investment in:

• roads, 
• buses,
• rail,
• walking,
• cycling,
• accessibility,
• road safety, and
• new technologies.

The aim is to create a safer, more reliable, inclusive and sustainable transport network that supports economic growth.

Residents, businesses and other stakeholders are invited to review the draft plan and share their views before it is finalised.
