Fairlands Valley Park - Solar Nightlight Trial Survey
Stevenage Borough Council has launched a solar lighting trial at a small section of Fairlands Valley Park to enhance the safety of people passing through the area after dark and twilight.
Following feedback from the community, the solar lights have been installed to provide a safer through-route, whilst being sensitive to local wildlife. The improved lighting also encourages greater use of parks during evening hours, supporting active travel, wellbeing and community use of green spaces.
The lights are located along a section of path next to the Stevenage Cycling Hub and model boat pond, running from north to south.

The lighting trial will run until late September. If you travel through, or use the green spaces at Fairlands Valley Park during the evening please give us your feedback, by 10 October, using the link below.
