The Council was visited by new partner, CP Media (Community Partners) today, following the launch of a new advertising and sponsorship scheme, timed to provide Stevenage’s business community with a boost following the emergence from lockdown.

The Council-owned sponsorship portfolio includes roundabouts, parks and gardens, council-owned buildings and car parks across the town centre and at the railway station, among others.

The full advertising and sponsorship portfolio will be viewed several million times per month, more than any local media platform available in Stevenage.

Local businesses will be able to engage directly with their customers through these ideal advertising platforms. Sites can be used to:

  • Directly promote a business
  • Connect with a local target audience
  • Display community messaging by commercial sponsors

With businesses across Stevenage looking at more cost-effective promotional spend, outdoor media is proven to deliver a higher return on investment than print, radio or online alternatives.

The scheme is open to all local businesses to allow them to promote their products and services. Businesses can reserve one or more sites in their desired location from across the portfolio and are encouraged to express interest now to ensure that they are one of the first to be part of the new scheme.

Leader of the Council, Sharon Taylor OBE said “Local businesses are the lifeblood of our town - bringing money into the economy and offering employment opportunities, so it is vital that we as a council lend as much support as we can. This opportunity that we have created in tandem with CP Media provides a really great vehicle for business owners to showcase their products and services and remind customers what they have been missing.”
