Bidding open for 2025 Stevenage Works Community Chest Fund
The Stevenage Works Community Chest Fund is back – and applications are open now!
Launched in 2020, the fund gives local community groups and volunteers the chance to bid for financial support to bring their projects to life. Whether it’s improving local spaces, supporting residents, or creating opportunities that make Stevenage an even better place to live, this is your chance to make it happen.
The fund is managed by Stevenage Works, a partnership between North Hertfordshire College (NHC), Job Centre Plus (JCP) and Stevenage Borough Council, and is designed to deliver real social value for our community – ensuring projects today help local organisations to help local people and leave a lasting impact for generations to come.
This year’s funding pot has only been made possible thanks to the generosity of our trusted contractors, so far donations have been received from Ashe, Magrock, Sureserve, TSG, Jewson, Hill (Imex) and Keepmoat.
These contributions reaffirm their commitment to giving back and supporting local organisations around the town.
Councillor Loraine Rossati, Cabinet Member for Economy, Skills and Transport said:
“I’m delighted that the Community Chest Fund is open for applications again. I’d like to extend a huge thank you to our contractors for their generosity and for supporting local people. The Community Chest Fund is a great opportunity for local volunteers and groups in Stevenage to access financial support for projects that benefit our community.
“I’d encourage groups to make the most of this chance and apply today!”
Last year’s Community Chest Fund helped groups including Bedwell Rangers, Diamond Silver Service, Crossroads Caring for Life, Wellbeing Junction CIC, Tracks Autism, Stevenage FC Foundation.
Their projects have left a real mark on our community – and yours could be next.
Applications are open until 20 October 2025, so don’t miss out.
