Stevenage Charter Fair

The Stevenage Charter Fair, held on the Old Town High Street, will open at 3pm on Tuesday 22 September and Wednesday 23 September.

The following roads in Stevenage will be temporarily closed for the Stevenage Charter Fair: Drapers Way, Bell Lane, part of the A602 (Hitchin Road/Lytton Way/High Street), and part of High Street. The closures will be in place from 6am on Monday 21 September 2026 until 4am on Thursday 24 September 2026, when signs are displayed. Access will be maintained wherever possible, although there is no alternative route for Drapers Way and Bell Lane.

Alternative routes will be available for the A602 and High Street closures via Gunnels Wood Road, Fairlands Way, Lytton Way and Trinity Road, with an alternative route also available via Letchmore Road, Sish Lane, Trinity Road, Lytton Way, Fairlands Way and Gunnels Wood Road. The closures are required to help keep the public safe and prevent accidents during the Stevenage Charter Fair.
