Join us on Friday 1 August between 10am and 2pm in the town centre for a housing drop-in event, you can find us near the fountain.

Residents can speak directly with staff about a wide range of housing-related services—no appointment needed.

Staff from multiple teams will be available throughout the day to answer questions and provide guidance on:

  • Housing Options – understanding your rights, how to make a homelessness application, and the support available.
  • Temporary Accommodation – what to expect from interim/temporary accommodation and how placements are made.
  • Next Step Lets – support available for accessing and sustaining private rented housing, including information for potential property owners who may be looking to rent their properties.
  • Allocations – how the choice-based lettings system works and how properties are allocated.
  • Survivors Against Domestic Abuse (SADA) – information about the service and how to access support.

This is a great chance for residents to find out more about the help available, ask specific questions, and get signposted to the right support.
