Free Workshop with Carl Cashman

Drop-in creative workshop for ages 6–10

Two sessions – 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm

In collaboration with Stevenage Borough Council

As part of the wider project celebrating the newly completed underpass murals, this fun, hands-on workshop invites children aged 6–10 to explore colour, shape, and creativity through collage.

Led by artist Carl Cashman, the session will be run as a relaxed, drop-in format. Carl will prepare a variety of paper and card cut-outs in advance – some already vibrantly coloured, others left blank for young artists to bring to life. Children will be encouraged to create their own mini artworks using paints, glue, and other collage materials, taking inspiration from the bold geometric designs featured in the murals.

The aim is to offer an accessible, creative experience that links directly to the public art in the town, while giving children the chance to express themselves through colour and shape in a guided but informal setting.
