Armed Forces Day
Stevenage will join villages, towns and cities across the UK this June proudly flying the flag for Armed Forces Day.
The event in the town centre will be held on Saturday 27 June 2026 from 10am-4pm. There’s a fun-filled schedule planned, and we’re really excited for you to join a day filled with free, family-friendly activities.
Armed Forces Day celebrates those who serve today, but it also provides an opportunity to explore the long history of service and defence in Britain. Our Anglo-Saxon living history group will showcase the weapons, equipment, skills and daily life of 7th Century England through engaging displays and hands-on activities. Discover how warfare, leadership and communities have evolved over more than 1,300 years.
