  1. Nomination papers may be obtained from the Returning Officer at Stevenage Borough Council, Room 157, Daneshill House, Danestrete, Stevenage, SG1 1HN during normal office hours who will, at the request of any elector for the said Ward, prepare a nomination paper for signature.

  2. Completed Nomination papers must be hand delivered to the Returning Officer at Stevenage Borough Council, Room 157, Daneshill House, Danestrete, Stevenage, SG1 1HN from any day from the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm, but not later than 4.00pm on Thursday, 9 April 2026.

  3. If an election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 7 May 2026 between the hours of 7.00am and 10.00pm.

  4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Monday, 20 April 2026. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

  5. New applications to vote by post or requests to cancel or change an existing postal or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Stevenage Borough Council, Daneshill House, Danestrete, Stevenage, SG1 1HN by 5.00pm on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, if they are to be effective for this election. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote.

  6. New applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Stevenage Borough Council, Daneshill House, Danestrete, Stevenage, SG1 1HN by 5.00pm on Tuesday, 28 April 2026, if they are to be effective for this election. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote.

  7. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5.00pm on Tuesday, 28 April 2026. Applications can be made online: https://voter-authority-certificate.service.gov.uk.

  8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Stevenage Borough Council, Daneshill House, Danestrete, Stevenage, SG1 1HN by 5.00pm on Thursday, 7 May 2026, if they are to be effective for this election.
