Our current activities

We are currently involved in some economic development activities:

• The running of a Business Forum to allow for direct communication with the business community.
• Actively participating in county level economic partnerships lobbying for local issues to increase awareness of the needs of Stevenage.
• Providing improved information for local businesses through our updated website and publications.
• Promoting enterprise & innovation by supporting local agencies to deliver services to help start-ups and local businesses achieve success in Stevenage.
• Working with local educational establishments, and the business community, to enhance skill levels and access to work opportunities.

We are able to inform local residents and businesses of up-to-date changes within the local economy as well as how best to access finance through grants and funding in difficult times.

Economic Growth provides information about partnerships and contacts that the Economic Development Team are involved with and other agencies we work alongside.
