We offer a quick, local, responsive and trustworthy service, which is competitively priced. We offer a competitive, flexible service for domestic customers where the pricing depends on the material you are disposing of - for example, soil or general waste.
We have skips of different sizes to meet your needs which can be delivered to anywhere in Stevenage and surrounding locations, including roll-on/roll-off skips and offer a pay-by-weight service to our commercial customers to help you to reduce costs and only pay for what you dispose of.
Skip hire is available in Stevenage and surrounding areas (based on price per mile).
Our waste team can pick up skip / dumpy bags at a maximum weight of one tonne. Contact us for a quote using the contact details below.
Sizes and cost
We have 4 cubic yard skips and 6 cubic yard skips available for hire.
Basic household skip hire:
- 4 yard skips = £250.00
- 6 yard skips = £325.00

Herts County Council permits cover 14 days and cost £43. Every additional week is a further £21.
Applications can be made on behalf of residents who are hiring their skips from SBC. If residents are hiring a skip from another company, that company will need to apply on their behalf as you need to have public liability insurance at a minimum of £10 million if your skip is on public land.
Permits
Skips should be kept on private land, such as a driveway or garden. If you need to put a skip on public land you need a permit, which costs £42, this is payable with the skip hire.
