How to report procurement fraud

In line with our commitment, we expect employees and others we deal with who have serious concerns about any aspect of the Council’s work to come forward and voice those concerns.

If you suspect that someone is committing procurement fraud, call our fraud hotline on 0300 123 4033 or report the fraud online at the Shared Anti-Fraud Service.

Alternatively you could report it to our Assistant Director (Finance) by calling 01438 242933 or email, whistleblowing@stevenage.gov.uk.

If you would like independent advice, you can contact the independent charity, Protect. Their lawyers can give you free confidential advice at any stage on how to raise a concern about serious malpractice at work. You can contact them by calling 020 3117 2520 (choose option 1), email, whistle@protect-advice.org.uk or by post: The Green House, 244-254 Cambridge Heath Road, London, E2 9DA.

If for you feel that you cannot raise your concerns internally and you honestly and reasonably believe the information and any allegations are true, you should consider raising the matter with the Police. The Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number is 101.
