Stevenage Day, the largest free event in Hertfordshire, is set to return to King George V playing fields on Sunday 9 June, promising to be bigger and better than ever.

With an estimated attendance surpassing 30,000, this year's event will focus on celebrating Pride and the LGBTQ+ community in Stevenage.

Stevenage Day 2024 will feature a dedicated Pride area, complete with a music stage showcasing talented Pride performers. Attendees can look forward to a range of free, family-friendly activities, a main performance area, rides, food court, bars, and the highly anticipated Rock in the Park segment.

One of the highlights of Stevenage Day 2024 is Rock in the Park, which will be supported by The Practice Roomz, promising an electrifying atmosphere with twin stages for music enthusiasts of all ages.

Councillor Myla Arceno, Mayor of Stevenage said:

“It’s great to announce that Stevenage Day is back once again, brimming with lots of entertainment and free activities for everyone to enjoy. It offers groups a great opportunity to get out there and show off the amazing talent we have here in the town. Pencil that date in your diary and tell your friends and family to be prepared for a great day out!”

As a testament to its commitment to community engagement, Everyone Active will take centre stage as the headline sponsor for Stevenage Day 2024. Attendees are encouraged to pop along and see the team to learn more about the services they offer which help to positively enhance Stevenage community's health and wellbeing.

Mark Leahy, regional contract manager at Everyone Active, said:

“Everyone Active is proud to be sponsoring this year's Stevenage Day. It is one of the biggest community events in the town’s calendar, where local people can come together, have fun and enjoy themselves. The day is packed, with lots of local entertainment, activities and fun for everyone.

“Socialising is an important aspect of our health and wellbeing, spending time together with others, lightens our mood and makes us feel happier, which in turn leads to better mental health too. We can’t wait to see you all at Stevenage Day and look forward to meeting you.”

Furthermore, over 200 stalls will line the grounds, featuring a diverse array of specialist food vendors, charities, voluntary organizations, and local businesses, providing an opportunity for attendees to support the community and discover new ventures.
