Reporting

If you find a dead animal on the road please report it to Herts County Council.

We are responsible for removing dead animals found on land maintained by us. We aim to remove dead animals within 48 hours.

Recovered dogs and cats are scanned to see if they have been micro-chipped. If they have been we will make every effort to contact the owners.

We do not collect dead animals from private land.
