Hertfordshire County Council as Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) and Interim arrangement on Surface Water Drainage Advice.

Status of the LLFA

We have been advised that the LLFA are still currently facing severe resource constraints and this situation is not expected to improve for the foreseeable future. Given this, the LLFA are currently unable to respond to any consultations until we have more resource in place.

Further to the above, we have also been informed that the LLFA are still currently unable to provide their pre-application Surface Water Advisory Service (for which there would be a charge). Moreover, the LLFA are not currently able to sign up to planning performance agreements (PPAs). However, the LLFA would encourage applicants to budget for the procurement of independent qualified professionals to review proposals in light of adopted policies.
