To register to vote in this May’s Stevenage Borough Council, Hertfordshire County Council and Hertfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner elections, please visit the Gov.uk website. Registering to vote is easy and only takes five minutes. Please register to vote by 19 April to make sure you have your say.
If Coronavirus is a concern you can sign up for a postal vote.
It is possible that Coronavirus could impact on how the elections are run on 6 May. If you will be away or may have difficulties getting to your polling station on polling day, you can choose to vote by post. The deadline to receive postal vote applications is 11 working days before the election, however, postal vote applications are accepted throughout the year; therefore to ensure you have the correct voting arrangements in place for you, please complete an application and send to the Electoral Services Office without delay.

Polling stations and coronavirus
We are reviewing arrangements for the elections on 6 May 2021 very carefully and in accordance with associated guidance to ensure that voters are safe and able to cast their vote. To keep yourself and others safe on polling day, please wear a face covering inside the polling station, sanitise your hands using the hand sanitiser provided, maintain social distancing at all times and bring your own pen or pencil to mark your ballot paper if possible.
