The Pride of Stevenage Awards 2020 event will take place virtually this Saturday evening.

We have changed this year’s award categories to honour the Stevenage heroes who supported local people during the Covid pandemic. I am contacting you because you nominated someone, are a potential winner or past winner, a judge, supported the production of this year’s awards, have clear ties with the local community, a Stevenage-based influencer or someone with a strong social media presence.

The Pride Awards team at Stevenage Borough Council worked together to produce a programme to recognise the amazing work of individuals and businesses that have made a difference during lockdown and shortly after it. Thank you to this year’s judges and PSW Building Consultancy, our sponsor.

This year’s awards will be broadcast via the SBC YouTube channel and on our SBC Facebook account (Facebook Live) on:

  • Saturday 24 October at 7pm
  • Sunday 25 October at 4pm

SG1 Sports presenter and Stevenage Football Club announcer, Jay Drackford returns as awards host alongside this year’s Mayor of Stevenage - Cllr Jim Brown and Cllr Sharon Taylor to reveal this year’s winners.

Tune in to watch this virtual event and meet this year’s winners and find out what they did to help the town through what has been a tough time for the people of Stevenage. Please let your contacts and network know too so we can encourage as many people as possible to watch our broadcast.
