Summer Holiday Play Activity Programme 2021

A summer of play and wellbeing sessions

Our Play Centres have historically been an open access site where children are free to come and go as they choose. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic we are currently unable to operate on this basis.

Following government guidelines, the decision has been made to operate on a pre-booked, children only, closed access basis for Stevenage children aged 5 - 11 years at Bandley Hill and St. Nicholas Play Centres.

Our Summer of Play Programme 2021 has information about the free play and wellbeing activity sessions for Stevenage children aged 5 - 11 years. (Limited spaces available for pre-booked sessions).

Play Centres - Play and Wellbeing Programme

These free sessions form part of the Play Centre activity programme. These sessions are funded by the Young People's Healthy Hub.

Limited spaces are available.

You will need to pre-book online for these sessions.

Loose Parts Pop Up Play Sessions Programme

Loose parts are materials that can be moved, carried, combined, redesigned, lined up, and taken apart and put back together in multiple ways.

Loose parts used can include stones, planks, sand, gravel, fabric, twigs, tyres, pallets, buckets, baskets, crates, balls, logs, stones, flowers, rope and boxes. Having "loose parts" available in a play space allows children to use these materials as they choose. Often you will find that children would rather play with materials that they can use and adapt as they please, rather than expensive pieces of play equipment.

Free open access, loose parts pop up play sessions at venues across the town for Stevenage children aged 5 -14 years.

No need to pre-book, just come along and join in the fun.
