Wise About Food is a Community Interest Company set up by Sarah Scotland. Based in Welwyn Garden City, Wise About Food focuses on healthy eating and nutrition.

Wise About Food provides services for the following groups:

  • Families
  • Early years
  • The elderly
  • Housing associations
  • Educational groups
  • Learning difficulties

New course starting soon

Come and join Sarah for an hour of cooking where she can show you how to make some tasty nutritious meals that are quick, easy and based on a budget.

Sarah will talk to you about having a cupboard of food staples and how these can be used to make quick meals as well as how to save money by saving food.

This course will take place on Thursdays from 4pm to 5pm, from 14 January to 18 February 2021.

Quick and easy recipes

Cooking together with our kids is a lot of fun. Making those meals nutritious provides added value to that time spent together.

As part of their Healthy Lifestyles programme, Stevenage FC Foundation have created The Community Kitchen Programme. 

The Community Kitchen programme is an 8 week behaviour change programme for 5-12 year olds.

The Community Kitchen will run on Tuesdays from 4:30pm - 6:30pm starting on January 19 2021. For more information on how you can take part, contact the Young People’s Healthy Hub Coordinator,
