Housing Revenue
The Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Business Plan is our strategic plan for managing and maintaining our housing stock.
The HRA Business Plan sets out our short-to-medium term plans and priorities for its housing management services and provides a long term (30 year) perspective on stock investment and financial planning.
The plan was originally adopted by our Executive in November 2014 following consultation with the Housing Management Board.
The Business Plan was initially developed following the introduction of HRA self-financing. The new financial arrangement was introduced on 1 April 2012 to replace the previous subsidy system for local authority housing. The Business Plan is a living document which will be reviewed at least annually to reflect changing circumstances and tenant / SBC Councillor priorities.
The HRA Business Plan is currently being updated to reflect revised proposals agreed by the Executive on 22 November 2016.
