People released from prison or youth detention centre
If you are facing homelessness upon being released from prison or a Youth Detention Centre, there are a number of options available to you.
Local Services
Stonham (0208 905 1210), provide accommodation for single people in Hertfordshire who have a history of offending and require housing related support.
St Mungo’s (0203 856 6000 or info@mungos.org), offer housing and rehabilitation advice for prisoners serving their sentence in London or Hertfordshire. They may also be able to provide temporary accommodation.
HACRO (01727 854727 or hacro.office@zen.co.uk), offer support and housing advice to ex-prisoners moving back to Hertfordshire and for prisoners being released from HMP The Mount (Bovingdon).
National Services
Nacro (0300 123 1889 or helpline@nacro.org.uk), is committed to working with ex-offenders to find them stable housing solutions and provide a wide range of other support services.
The St Giles Trust (0207 708 8000 or info@stgilestrust.org.uk), is a charitable organisation that assists ex-offenders in finding suitable housing and employment.
RECOOP (0300 123 1992 or info@recoop.org.uk), assist with the re-settlement and care of elderly prisoners and ex-offenders.
