Services charges are payable if you live in a block of flats or sheltered housing.
As well as your basic rent, we also charge you separately for certain services; these are called service charges.
We review the charges every year and will give you 28 days notice in writing if we plan to increase any of them.
If you live in a flat block or sheltered housing, you will pay service charges for
- block repairs;
- block water charge;
- grounds maintenance;
- window cleaning;
- caretaking; and
- block electrics.
These charges may vary from block to block because the amount of work involved varies from block to block.
Also, if you live in a block of flats which have shared heating, you pay a charge for the fuel supply. The weekly charge varies from block to block because the type and amount of heating varies from block to block.
