The Stevenage Residents and Tenants surveys 2021 will be taking place over the summer.

We want to hear your priorities for the town and your views on the wide range of council services.

Stevenage Borough Council has partnered with M.E.L. Research Limited to run two surveys; one that will sample the town’s residents and one that will sample our tenants.

The surveys will be running from mid-August until the end of September and be undertaken via telephone interviews which will last approximately 15 minutes. These interviews will ask residents their views on their neighbourhoods, the priorities for the town and their satisfaction with council services. In addition, tenants will be asked their views on housing services.

To ensure the survey is as representative as possible, all responses will be anonymous and randomly sampled so only a small proportion of residents and tenants will complete the survey and no one will be contacted to complete both.

The survey is optional. If you are contacted and not interested in completing the survey, this is absolutely fine, please just let the telephonist know and it will be anonymously recorded that you are not interested and you will not be contacted again.

We do however really value your views and would encourage any residents and tenants that are contacted by M.E.L. research on our behalf to give a little time to help us better understand your priorities and opinions which will be used to help inform council priority setting.

As the survey sample is random, it is not possible for you to request to complete it, however we are interested in hearing your views so if you’d like to sign up to hear about future engagement opportunities in your neighbourhood and across the town please email, or visit our Consultation and Engagement page for more information.

If you have any specific concerns you would like to contact the council about directly, please contact our Customer Service Centre on 01438 242242 between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, or email,
