Elections – Thursday 6 May 2021
The next elections will be held in Stevenage on Thursday 6 May 2021. It will be a combined poll that will include Borough Councillor elections for Stevenage, County Councillor elections for Hertfordshire, and the Police and Crime Commissioner election for Hertfordshire.

Electoral registration, including how to register - the deadline to register to vote is Monday 19 April 2021 (to be effective for this election)
Voting by post - the deadline for receiving new postal vote applications is 5pm on Tuesday 20 April 2021 (to be effective for this election)
Voting by proxy - the deadline for receiving new proxy vote applications is 5pm on Tuesday 27 April 2021 (to be effective for this election)
Voting by emergency proxy - the deadline for receiving new proxy vote applications on the grounds of work, medical emergency, or Covid-19 based reasons, is 5pm on Thursday 6 May 2021 (to be effective for this election).

Polling Stations and Coronavirus
We are reviewing arrangements for the elections on 6 May 2021 very carefully, and in accordance with associated guidance, to ensure that voters are safe and able to cast their vote.
To keep yourself and others safe on polling day, please:
- wear a face covering inside the polling station
- sanitise your hands using the hand sanitiser provided
- maintain social distancing at all times
- bring your own pen or pencil to mark your ballot paper, if possible.
Police and Crime Commissioner Elections
