Lorry parking
Information and advice about HGV lorries over 5 tonnes.
HGV lorries with an unladen weight of 5 tonnes or more are not allowed to park in residential areas overnight between 8.00pm and 7.00am Monday to Friday or at any time on Saturdays or Sundays.
Any complaints about overnight or weekend lorry parking in the town should be reported to us. Please use the contact details on the 'Contact us' page and the matter will be investigated.
This parking ban does not apply to commercial vehicles like transit vans because they are below the 5 tonne weight limit threshold.
