The Board
The So Stevenage Board’s 42 members are from the Community and Voluntary, Public and Private sectors, 12 of the places are reserved.
2 for Stevenage Borough Councillors,
1 for a Hertfordshire County Councillor,
1 for the local Member of Parliament
1 for the Area Committee Champion
7 for the Theme Partnerships (So Safe, Stevenage Children’s District Trust Partnership, Action for the Environment, Social Inclusion Forum, Business Forum, Learning Forum and the Health and Wellbeing Forum).
The other 30 places are split between the 3 sectors, 10 for Community and Voluntary, 10 for the public sector and 10 for private sector.
Public Sector Membership: 14-19 Partnership, East & North and West Hertfordshire PCTs, Extended Schools North Stevenage, Hertfordshire County Council, Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Hertfordshire Police Authority, North Hertfordshire College, and The Nobel School
Private Sector Membership: The Comet, Stevenage Retail Consortium, Stevenage Leisure Limited, Stevenage Homes, SBI, Microchip Computers Limited, and Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Community and Voluntary Sector Membership: Groundwork Hertfordshire, MBA Association, Churches Together, Stevenage CVS, Ridgemond Training, Stevenage Rotary Club, Stevenage Arts Guild, Stevenage Citizens Advice Bureau, Stevenage World Forum for Ethnic Communities, and Viewpoint
