Changing Lanes
What is Changing Lanes?
Changing Lanes, a project led by the Council's Crime & Drugs Strategy Unit, aims to help Class A drug users and offenders gain skills by providing a variety of education and training programmes.
Those in community drug rehabilitation, the Drug Interventions Programme and Prolific and other Priority Offenders, after a qualifying period, will be invited to take part in bite-sized courses in various subjects such as basic skills training, CV skills, computing, teamwork, and food hygiene, to help them get through their treatment and beyond.
It is hoped that the skills they gain will support them in their rehabilitation and help them find employment or move onto more formal training.
Who will qualify?
Adults aged 18 upwards who are either prolific or priority offenders or drug users engaging with drug intervention programmes or Hertsreach services.
