Stevenage Homes Limited
Stevenage Homes Ltd (known as Stevenage Homes or sometimes as SHL) is a private company wholly owned and controlled by Stevenage Borough Council. A board of non-executive directors governs the Company. The Board comprises three Tenants, one Leaseholder, four Council Members and four Independents. The Tenant and Leaseholder Members are elected by FOSTA representatives. Councillors are nominated by Stevenage Borough Council. The Independents are selected by the other Board members.
They are responsible for the management and maintenance of the Council’s housing stock. This involves the company carrying out the day-to-day management of their properties.
Stevenage Homes also have their own dedicated anti social behaviour team who work closely with the Police and Stevenage Borough Council Anti Social Behaviour team to ensure that all reported cases of anti social behaviour are dealt with quickly, fairly and firmly.
