Volunteer your office skills for the 2012 Olympics

Stevenage people who would like to be involved with the 2012 Olympics may wish to apply to become an office-based volunteer.
Twenty people are needed to work on the Trailblazers’ programme within the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) office in Canary Wharf to provide administrative support. Volunteers will start work on 19 January 2009.
Anyone over 18 can apply. You must have:
- basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
- good written and verbal English skills;
- experience of working within a team environment;
- commitment to volunteer one day a week;
- eligibility to work as a volunteer with the UK in accordance with immigration rules.
Volunteers on the Trailblazers’ programme will benefit from making a positive contribution to the London 2012 Olympic games. In addition, volunteers will meet other people and gain valuable experience and opportunities to learn or develop new skills.
