Enter our competition, send in your ideas on making Stevenage a Safer place.

The Stevenage Anti-social Behaviour Unit and Stevenage Community Safety Partnership is launching a competition that offers people the chance to have their ideas for making Stevenage a safer place turned into reality.

We are looking for individuals or groups of people who are willing to pitch ideas that will help people feel safer, to a panel of Community Safety experts.   

Six finalist will be selected to go before the panel in December to win the backing to develop their initiative.   The winner will also be given an award for the best idea contributing to the local area and making Stevenage a great place to live

Whether you are part of a group or an individual, if you who want to make Stevenage a safer place send in your ideas. A form is available for downloading below. Send your completed form to the address below or just write to us, include your name or your team's name if you are submitting an idea on behalf of a group, your contact details and a brief description of your idea in no more than 150 words.

The competition closes on Monday, 24 November 2008, and is open to all local community groups and individuals based in Stevenage.  The panel will include members from Hertfordshire Constabulary, The Police Authority, Fire and Rescue, Youth Offending Team, Connexions, Stevenage Homes, Stevenage Borough Council, The National Probation Service and Neighbourhood Watch.
