Keeping the town safe

Stevenage Community Safety Partnership is introducing a new community safety plan in April.

We have reviewed patterns and levels of crime over the last three years.  This information informs the community safety priorities for 2008 and 2009.

We want to make sure that the following priorities are the right ones:

• Reduce serious violence and violent crime
• Reduce robbery, burglary, vehicle crime and theft
• Reduce anti-social behaviour
• Reduce criminal damage
• Reduce re-offending
• Tackle drug and alcohol related crime and its impact on communities
• Improve feelings of safety, particularly at night
