Funding
The Council is committed to the development of a vibrant and dynamic voluntary and community sector in Stevenage.
Our annual grant aid programme provides funding to voluntary and community groups that are based in Stevenage or benefit Stevenage residents.
In 2008/09 the Council allocated £486,658 to 46 local voluntary and community organisations.
Grants are awarded for a wide range of activities and can be used to assist with the costs involved in setting up and running an organisation, projects and events.
Activities should meet local needs, involve communities, ensure equality of access and be sustainable. Grants provide an opportunity to do more than just financially support an organisation or project; they are intended to provide ongoing benefits to the community.

The application form is available in PDF and Word format, the PDF document will need to be printed off, filled in and returned to the address below. The word format can either be printed off or filled in electronically and emailed back to grantaid@stevenage.gov.uk.

We can give advice and support to Stevenage based voluntary and community groups that are seeking funding from other sources such as the Big Lottery Fund, central government and charitable trusts and foundations.
We also provide funding to sports organisations.
Small grants are available from the Stevenage Community Trust which raises funds to support charitable causes, giving to groups and individuals in Stevenage, and surrounding villages. www.sct.uk.net
