Street lights, along with the following, are the responsibility of Hertfordshire County Council:

  • Broken or sunken manhole/drain covers,
  • Blocked Gullies,
  • Flooding,
  • Dead animals in road
    (we are responsible for removing dead animals in a public place in Stevenage),
  • roadworks,
  • spillages,
  • cats eyes,
  • sandbags,
  • bollards,
  • pavements,
  • ice and snow salting,
  • salting routes,
  • bridges,
  • traffic lights,
  • bus stops
    (we are responsible for bus shelters in Stevenage),
  • potholes,
  • road signs,
  • speed cameras,
  • fallen trees.

You can report faults online using their website anytime, or by calling 0300 123 4047 between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday, or 9am to 4pm Saturdays.
