Building Control

The primary function of Building Control is to advise on the compliance of buildings in relation to the current Building Regulations, so as to ensure the health, safety, welfare and convenience of people using them.

When carrying out work on buildings there are two things that need to be considered; whether planning permission is required and whether building regulations consent is required

Work on buildings requiring building regulations consent may also require planning permission.  Similarly applications requiring planning permission may also require building regulations consent
